Open dialogue

Open dialogue lies at the heart of our commitment. We advocate for transparent, accessible and respectful communication between staff, management and staff representatives.

In practical terms, this means:

  • ensuring that every staff member has the opportunity to express themselves freely, without fear of reprisals;

  • encouraging the submission of written feedback to ensure proper follow-up and concrete action;

  • establishing regular and structured exchanges with management;

  • providing clear and transparent feedback to colleagues on the actions taken and the results achieved.

We believe that fair and effective decisions can only be made on the basis of genuine dialogue, founded on listening, trust and accountability.

Our aim is to create an environment where every voice counts and where concerns from the front line are genuinely taken into account.

Our vision

We envisage a fairer, more stable and more attractive European civil service, in which contract and temporary staff are no longer regarded as a precarious resource, but as essential and fully recognised contributors to the functioning of the institutions.

We want to build a system where career paths are predictable, where hard work is valued and where everyone has genuine prospects for advancement, whether within the Parliament or across all European institutions.

Our vision is based on modern human resources management, inspired by best practices within the Union, notably through the creation of a dedicated office to offer sustainable and coherent careers.

We also aspire to a more integrated administrative Europe, where the mobility of talent is facilitated and encouraged, thereby strengthening the collective effectiveness of the institutions whilst securing individual career paths.

Finally, we advocate for an institution that fully assumes its social responsibility, by protecting its staff and their families, and by guaranteeing a respectful, stable and forward-looking working environment.

Our vision is of a strong, people-centred and forward-looking European civil service.

Our mission

Our mission is to defend the interests of the European Parliament’s contract and temporary staff in a practical, structured and sustainable manner, by improving their career prospects, working conditions and job security.

We are working to put an end to structural job insecurity by proposing realistic, legally sound solutions that can be implemented immediately within the framework of the Staff Regulations and the CEOS. Through our demands, we aim to ensure a clearer, fairer and more accessible career path, in particular through the regular organisation of internal competitions and better recognition of experience gained.

We also work to open up new opportunities beyond the Parliament, by facilitating inter-institutional mobility and contributing to the creation of a genuine European labour market, serving both staff and institutions.

Finally, our mission fully embraces the human and social dimension of institutional commitment: protecting families, ensuring the continuity of children’s education and offering stable career prospects are an integral part of our work.

Our commitment is clear: to represent, defend and advance the rights of contract and temporary staff with responsibility, transparency and efficiency.
